Greetings from Moscow
Of course Moscow is a very famous city but I can’t agree with those one who say that it’s beautiful. Because for me its not. There are only several streets & districts that can labeled as “beautiful & interesting”. But mostly its a quite ordinary Russian сity.
After years of communism rule I suspect Moscow is like many other cities in Europe that were subjected to the stark impersonal architecture that defined the era. I have not been to Russia, but have been to Poland. Of course there, many of the cities faced destruction during WWII and much architecture was lost, but the communist block buildings are everywhere and so while they have tried to restore the city center, there is not a lot of beauty to see. Hopefully you find more that is interesting beyond the architecture! I loved that you used a Dostoevsky quote on your blog about tea. He is my favorite author and perhaps you can seek out some of his history while you are in Russia. 🙂
Thanks. I also adore with his writing stule
These photos are so wonderful!
